On Wednesday, a bear attack left in its wake, 3 victims one of whom died. The incident occurred at a campground in the vicinity of the Yellowstone National park.

Montana wildlife officials reported that the fatal attack led to serious injuries to 2 campers one of whom was a woman. This attack was reported at around 4 a.m. at the Soda Butte campground and resulted in the death of a person.

The injured duo have been transferred to a hospital facility in Cody, Wyo. The woman suffered deep cuts on her skin due to the bites while the man was bitten by the bear on his calf. The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials refused to divulge any information relating to the victims and assured that the reason behind the lapse would definitely be determined soon as their response team was already on their way to investigate the mishap.

The spokesperson for Montana fish, Wildlife and Parks, Ron Aasheim claimed that they were as of yet unaware whether the attacker was one or many, or if it was a regular black bear or a grizzly. He believes that for the present the bear or bears have vanished from the area near the Yellowstone National Park but was unsure of its return.

When the authorities were informed regarding the attack, they evacuated the Montana campground asking the campers to leave.

Further the spokesperson, Asheim reported that the Yellowstone National Park has been sealed off until after the investigation.

The Soda Butte campground which is under the governance of the U.S. forest service is located at the North-Western Entry to the Yellowstone National Park. The general public hope the attack is soon accounted for.
