A tornado which happened in the northeastern part of the state on Monday, has claimed two lives.
The third person severely affected is still in the hospital.
David Fulkerson, the Sheridan County coroner, said that the two were killed when the tornado struck on the farm, a few miles west of Reserve.
The third, who was injured was rushed to the hospital in Plentiwood.
The tornado had struck Saskatchewan, Canada by 5:15 pm, according to the reports.
Thereon, it started its course towards the southeast and struck Medicine Lake.
Don Simonsen, National Weather Service in Glasgow, says that the tornado had weakened before it came to North Dakota.
Another tornado was happening around 20 miles south of Flaxville in Daniels country. He also said that they are not expecting anymore tornados right now.
“We’re not anticipating any watches or warnings,†he said.
