USGA reported that the quake struck 83 miles south west of Cotabato, Mindanao.
USGA at first informed the quake strength at 6.7 but later told it was 6.5. The depth was 563 kilometers.
‘The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center’ told a critical tsunami was not produced, “based on earthquake and historical tsunami data.”
