Stephen Hawking
Stephen Hawking the great physicist is back in news, this time with his groundbreaking M-theory. The philosopher-cum-scientist whose profound theories have amazed many & rather shocked the masses will now delve on his favourite topic-the origins of the universe, albeit without the efforts of God involved.
Along with Caltech physicist Leonard Mlodinow, Hawking discusses the many aspects and theories about the evolution of the universe in his book ‘The Grand Design’. He has claimed that Physics is the key to solving all problems & his latest M-theory is bound to reveal all mysteries about how the universe came into being.
His book claims that “That makes the coincidences of our planetary conditions – the single Sun, the lucky combination of Earth-Sun distance and solar mass – far less remarkable, and far less compelling as evidence that the Earth was carefully designed just to please us human beings.” the scientist says.
“Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing,” says Hawking. “Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist. It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going.” he added.
If you are skeptical about this idea well join the club of Craig Callendar who is fairly not willing to accept this idea. The philosophy professor who teaches at the University of California, San Diego questioned Stephen Hawking’s M-theory that there is no God.
For Stephen Hawking the controversy won’t be new as his earlier works have also been treated likewise with contempt as well as reverence.
Let’s see how far Hawking can prove Sir Isaac Newton wrong & show the world that there is indeed no God. Do you agree with him or would you stick to your faith?
