Dancing With The Stars
Monday, August 30, 2010: The formal announcement of the 12 participants for the season 11 of the popular dancing show Dancing with the Stars (DTWS) which is aired on American Television Network ABC (American Broadcasting Company) has been made. For those who have closely followed the spoilers in the past few weeks, the selection wouldn’t be surprising for them. The professional dancing partners of these participants will be announced on Wednesday
Amongst women, those who have been selected are, Brandy, the former R&B star, Florence Henderson, Bristol Palin, the daughter of the former governor of Alaska, Margaret Cho, the stand up comedian, Jennifer Grey, former participant of Dirty Dancing and Audrina Patridge, the actress. Since brother of Brandy Ray J, has allegedly featured in a sex tape with former Dancing with the Stars participant and celebrity actress Kim Kardashian, it will be interesting and funny if she is paired opposite the partner of the celebrity, Mark Ballas. Henderson is the oldest participant in the show at 76. Comedian Cho is expected to be like Jeffrey Ross who in the previous episode was dead last. Jennifer has been included in the show courtesy her participation in the show Dirty Dancing. Patridge is the actor of the forgotten film The Hill, because of which she is expected to go unnoticed.
In the men’s category, The Situation, Michael Bolton, Kurt Warner, David Hasselhoff, Rich Fox, Kyle Massey have been chosen to participate. The Situation is a host of a show on MTV, and his acceptability amongst the Middle America viewers who form the bulk of the audience of this show is doubtful. In the show Bolton will try to recreate his magic he wove in the 90’s. Warner is the first NFL quarterback to participate on this platform. Though Hoff is predicted to emerge as winner of the show by tipping The Situation, Fox the former NBA star who is the current boyfriend of Eliza Dushku and former partner of Vanessa Williams is also a strong contender. Massey famous among kids for his role as Cory from That’s So Raven and Cory in the House on Disney Channel doesn’t seem a great prospect.
The first episode of the Season 11 will be aired at 8pm on September 20 on ABC.
